Telecommuting and Remote Extensions

Telecommuting and Remote Extensions

With an in house VoIP Server, you can very easily set up your employees for telecommuting using remote extensions. A remote extension is set up using a softphone on a computer, an analog telephone adapter plugged into a regular phone, or, the best choice, a SIP compatible IP phone.

With any of these options, you can hook up to an internet connection anywhere in the world and have your telephone instantly register with your server. Once registered, your remote phone will work just as if you were sitting back at the office. Great for the Road Warrior or telecommuter. Many business owners take advantage of this feature by running a remote extension at their home office.
