Complete Small Office - Home Office Phone System

About AusTex VoIP

AusTex VoIP - Pflugerville, TX

AusTex is relative newcomer in the VoIP installation and consulting business. After a VoIP install in the office of our full time employment, the company needed someone in house that could administer the system and quickly make changes as the need arose. Since this installation included the FreePBX GUI interface, many admin tasks were relatively easy to accomplish. Others though, such as adding or removing VoIP Service Providers or POTS providers, adding call queues, IVRs, and ring groups were a bit more complicated.

In order to better understand the process of an in house IP PBX system, VoIP, and ALL the capabilities and features of this type of system, we installed a system in our own residence to use as a learning tool and test platform. What started out as simple need to understand the technology in order to maintain a current, ten phone office system, has turned into an obsession on taking the IP PBX system to the highest levels, and exploring the least cost methods of making and receiving phone calls.

What we really never expected when getting into the IP PBX world of technology, is just how COOL this stuff really is. Our simple home system now has numbers in many states (for family and friends), a couple of toll free numbers for some side line business, and several VoIP service providers we can use which is determined by where we would like to call, and the least expensive route available in doing so.

Just what an IP PBX system can do is simply amazing by many standards. For instance, we cut down our monthly cell phone bills by using a W-iFi and SIP enabled cell phone where, as long as we have access to a Wi-Fi network, we can use our cell phone as a remote extension of our at home IP PBX system. Get yourself a low cost incoming DID or a free Google Voice number, and tell your friends and business associates to call that number instead of your cell number. The call will come into your IP PBX and be sent to your cell phone, since your cell phone can be set up as just another extension.  When you're not on a Wi-Fi network, have the call transferred to your regular cell phone number over your cell phone carrier's network. Using this method, you may not need those 3000, or unlimited minutes per month through your cell phone carrier.

Armed withthe knowledge gained from countless hours of installing, modifying, updating, experimentation, and exhausting research on the capabilities of the IP PBX, we decided to offer this experience to the small office, home office (SOHO) community. Our typical target market will be those who are currently running 1-20 phones, with service from standard POTS providers, such as AT&T, or digital phone services from a cable provider. We will also offer installation and consultation to residences that may need more than a standard one line phone service, would like to utilize some of the bells and whistles found in an in-home installation, or just want to have the coolest telephone system in the neighborhood.

Cost effectiveness is our goal, and we will strive to offer our services in a manner that is very affordable and customer service oriented. Give us a chance to quote an install and set-up for your needs. You might be suprised at just how little a switch to VoIP can cost. Start the ball rolling by giving us a call at (512) 600-0990. You'll be glad you did
